Just when I was missing Beyoncé, her cover of Billy Joel’s song “Honesty” has surfaced all over the net. The song will reportedly appear on Destiny’s Child’s Greatest Hits CD which was released exclusively in Japan at the end of June. Have a listen below:
Sounds kinda uhhh typical. But sweet. Really though Bey girl, I know you are trying to step back and let Solange get her shine on but I need some new ish from you – and I need you to bring it!
While we are on the subject of R&B divas – Rihanna is no longer the only Bajan girl on the block. I have been paying close attention to a sister by the name of Shontelle who has been signed by Steve Rifkind to SRC Universal. Her first single “T-Shirt” is slated for release next week on July 15th with an album Shontelligence expected in the fall.
Visit her myspace to hear “T-Shirt” and other music: www.myspace.com/shontelle My favorite track is “Battle Cry”.
And while I’m on a Caribbean note – the video for Jazmine Sullivan’s island infused first single “Need You Bad” is finally here. Peep it below:
It’s dope but I think there was room for her to take it up a notch.
