YA HEARD BLOG: Busta Rhymes Dropped By Interscope After Dispute W/ Jimmy Iovine? U-God Seeks Police Protection From Wu-Tang Associates?
Written By SOHH Streetz
Let me start out by saying that I got word about this early Saturday morning. However, you know our site is temporarily going through some things and I am not in control of posting.
I’m sure you’ve heard about Trevor Smith by now. From what I could gather Busta Rhymes got into a shouting match with head of Interscope Records Jimmy Iovine over some of his tracks that were submitted for his new album. Apparently Jimmy wasn’t impressed and naturally Busta got defensive. The end result was to terminate his services.
However, since Bussa Buss is signed to Interscope/Aftermath there is no word yet on what Dr. Dre plans to do with the fleeting Brooklyn MC. However it’s presumed that Busta’s new album ‘Blessed” will not see the light of day.
Stay tuned for more details.
SOHH Ya Heard has exclusively found out some startling news. According to a Jersey City Lieutenant U-God of Wu-Tang fame appeared at a Jersey City, New Jersey police station just recently requesting police protection.
The rapper says he is being followed and targeted by Wu-Tang associates in retaliation for suing Wu-Tang Records for $170,000 earlier this year.
The rapper, real name Lamont Hawkins, filed the lawsuit at the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, saying his advances for the new Wu-Tang album 8 Diagrams ($40,000) have not been paid to him, despite signing a deal in May 2007.
The suit also seeks unpaid income from the Rock The Bells tour (around $50,000), as well as a publishing deal with BMG and proceeds from Wu-Tang merchandise.

To be honest, I am not feeling Busta because it seems that he is just another rapper now. Since he joined Aftermath, his look, his attitude, and his music changed. I miss the old Put Yo Hands where my eyes can see, dreaded, outrageous fashion Busta. Thats the dude I know, like, and respect. I am not feeling the Gangster Busta. REAL RAPPERS PLEASE STAND UP!!!
